Wednesday 12th November - walk *** – The Grove in Felixstowe – sunny periods.

I missed going on a walk with Mag but when I woke I looked out of the window and saw a band of red in an otherwise cloudy sky so I decided to drive down to the seafront parking at 6.40 at the bottom of Constitution Hill and there was a brilliant line of red on the horizon so I got out to take a few pics, sadly the shutter button on my camera is playing up, it must be time to take out my new, well new to me camera now that the sd card has arrived! I even had a few drops of rain, luckily it did not amount to much, the sunrise just got better and I got some nice shoots between here and the Spa Theatre and didn’t get home until 7.45! I was lucky enough to get one on ITV’s About Anglia, nothing on the BBC as they were full of the Northern Lights which might be visible again today but its looking cloudy, I might head down to Felixstowe Ferry later?
It was probably breezy enough for a foil but we had arranged to look after our Granddaughter, the lovely Maeva at midday as her mum had an appointment. We picked them up around midday taking a picnic with us and parked at The Grove so we could have a walk in the Autumn leaves in the woods. Maeva had her wellies on but there was a shortage of puddles although there was no shortage of leaves, we played Maeva’s favourite game of 1 2 3 jump where Mag and I have a hand each and we swing her into the air! We spot birds feeding on the berries and squirrels skipping about as we do a quick circuit of the woods before returning to the van for a picnic with her mum joining us for a cuppa before we dropped then off at a toddler group in Walton High Street. We took the scenic route back along Gulpher Road and spotted a kitesurfer out foiling!
